On what would be Johnny Cash’s 89th birthday, Outlaw Country (Ch. 60) will celebrate the “Man in Black” with a virtual special spotlighting the Johnny Cash: Forever Words Expanded recordings project.

Hosted by Mojo Nixon, the exclusive special will feature Cash’s son, John Carter Cash, as well as Jamey Johnson and Shawn Camp, answering questions from a virtual audience of SiriusXM subscribers. Catch the premiere over in Outlaw Country on February 26 at 8pm ET, with replays on February 27 at 8am and 5pm ET and February 28 at 12pm and 9pm ET. The full video and audio of the special will also be available on the SiriusXM app after the premiere.

Legacy Recordings has been releasing the digital-only expanded edition of Cash’s 2018 Forever Words album — which featured his poetry and lyrics set to music by Chris Cornell, Elvis Costello, and more — in four installments, the final of which will drop on April 2. The deluxe reissue includes 18 new songs in addition to the original 16 tracks. For more information about Johnny Cash: Forever Words Expanded, click here.
